Interview video shooting

Video shooting of interviews can be done in the interior and on location, including night time. Shooting of interviews, as any other professional video shooting, can be reportage, production, feature or combine all these technologies.

Between one and four movie cameras (BETACAM, or DV) can be used during video shooting.

The cameras may be synchronised and operate at one time code. Some of them can be mounted on small cranes and wagons. While shooting the cameras can operate continuously or in composition of MTVS (mobile TV station) with real-time editing. Light for interview video shooting can be just filling or more complicated, even production and artistic. Number of light sources can vary from one to a couple (with power from 500 W to 40 kW).

Makeup for interviews should be just tonal, to exclude glare on the face. Sometimes the hands may be toned too. Director and cameraman control the complete sequence of the interview shooting through a special monitor. Assistant director records in his workbook the cassettes and time code numbers.

When a MTVS (Mobile TV Station) is used, the number of specialists is increased by the number of personnel attending to the MTVS. All the diversity of approaches to solution, at the first glance of the simplest task - interview video shooting, is apparent from the above.
